Sustainable Charter

Today, we are more than convinced of the importance of our role as a clothing manufacturer and distributor in the necessary trajectory to preserve our planet. In recent years, we have intensified our actions to promote essential and sustainable consumption.

Our offering has always been based on the sale of durable clothing, and on essential after-sales service in order to consume less, better, and with full awareness.

Our fundamental pillars

Our actions are based on 4 pillars, aiming for transparency and traceability:

- Environmental commitment
- Commitment to animal traceability
- Social commitment
- Preservation of savoir-faire

Each year, we progress or undertake new actions, the main ones of which are detailed below:

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

•    Continuation and development of a knitted fur collection manufactured in Greece and cessation of Chinese manufacturing

•    Collaboration with the CTC (Leather Technical Center) to conduct a REACH audit on a best-selling leather model from the La Canadienne collection: research of 300 substances including chromium VI, PCP, dyes, lead, mercury, etc.

•    New wear warranty implemented for La Canadienne products purchased since 2020 (replacement of linings, collars, jersey, finishes, leather panels) to extend the lifespan of our products

•    Launch of a second-hand clothing offer to promote the circular economy and the durability of leather garments.

•    Increase in fur transformation services allowing a second life for this noble and durable material.

COMMITMENT TO ANIMAL WELFARE

•    Traceability and information on the origin of skins (tannery locations and/or breeding locations) on each product sheet of our online store.

•    To stop Chinese fur: development of 3 new vest models using labeled European fur (Spanish rex and Finnish raccoon), labels meeting high European standards to ensure animal welfare

•    Continued development of European manufacturing with traceable raw materials: fur accessories made in France (Léa Clement), sheepskin slippers made in Portugal (La Canadienne), leather and shearling workshops based in Barcelona (La Canadienne)

•    Resumption of Turkish manufacturing for shearling (exclusively Spanish or Turkish skins, exclusively Turkish tanneries)

•    Selection of tanneries using the LWG* certificate attesting to the traceability of skins (leather and sheepskin). This certification guarantees environmentally friendly and socially responsible leather production.

•    Recruitment of work-study students and saleswomen over 50 years old

•    Implementation of 3 days of teleworking per week for employees whose positions allow it

PRESERVATION OF EXPERTISE

•    Strengthening of our collaboration and development of our French collection with our Parisian manufacturer

•    New Spanish shearling manufacturing workshop

•    New French degreasing and re-pigmentation service provider (40 years of expertise)

•    Highlighting PYRENEX, our favorite French brand that shares the same values as us; particularly for its exceptional quality/price ratio and its numerous certifications, including recently: ENTREPRISE DU PATRIMOINE VIVANT (LIVING HERITAGE COMPANY)

•    Launch of a new premium sales advisor training, in collaboration with GRETA and 10 independent Lyon-based businesses, aiming for professional retraining and thus to revalue the sales profession.
