Belstaff Men

Belstaff, rooted in the world of motorcycling

Belstaff, founded in 1924 by Eli Belovitch and his son-in-law Harry Grosberg in Longton, Staffordshire, is a brand of waterproof clothing. Its name Belstaff comes from the contraction of BELowitch and STAFFordshire.
Belstaff adopts a biker and adventurer style, notably using "waxed cotton" in the design of its clothing, especially for men's leather jackets. Treated with essential oils, this material is 100% waterproof and porous enough to allow excellent breathability. These technical products enabled Belstaff to conquer many markets, particularly that of motorcycle clothing.

The Belstaff legend begins

It was in 1951 that the Belstaff legend began with the iconic "Trialmaster," a belted, 4-pocket motorcycle jacket, which became a legendary model for the brand. This Belstaff jacket was worn by the famous champion Phil Read during Grand Prix motorcycle races, as well as by Ernesto Che Guevara, who traveled South America on his Norton 50. "The King of Cool," actor Steve McQueen, also sported a best-selling model, the "Black Prince Jacket."
After difficult years, due to the textile industry crisis that hit England in the early 1990s, Belstaff appointed Franco Malenotti, a former Italian Superbike champion, to lead its collections. He brought the brand back up to date and developed new technical materials, restoring the Belstaff legend with a new kind of heroes. George Clooney, Leonardo di Caprio, Nicole Kidman, and singers Madonna, Britney Spears, and Black Eyed Peas. So many celebrities who project a high-end image of Belstaff. In no less than fifteen years, the brand appeared in over 70 action and adventure films, including 10 in 2008 alone (Indiana Jones, Batman, Duplicity..).

More recently, in 2013, Belstaff launched a new collection, "Beckham for Belstaff." A very leather-focused collection, represented by David Beckham as a biker from "The Wild One."

Belstaff jackets, an urban and adventurous spirit

Made in Italy since 2000, Belstaff reinvents collections in a whole new genre, "chic biker," a mix of retro elegance and aerodynamic cuts, made from luxurious materials (lambskin, shearling, double-faced cashmere, peccary, or astrakhan) and high-tech.
This subtle blend of elegant and classic style is what makes the brand successful.
Belstaff models always emphasize the motorcycle universe in which the brand has always been rooted. This is reflected in the sober cuts and lines that assert an assumed classicism, the signature of Belstaff men.
The Belstaff Men's collection is designed to adapt to the city while maintaining a decidedly trendy adventurer spirit.
